Singularity (Xbox 360)

I just finished “Singularity” in the Xbox 360/UK version (not the censored German edition).

Yes, I know, it is not the newest game on the market. But I can tell you one thing: It’s one of the best First Person Shooters that I’ve played in quite a while. I really liked this game, and that has become a rather rare feeling lately.

Sure, Singularity somehow felt like Bioshock meets Timeshift meets Wolfenstein, but I think that’s totally okay. It still had enough originality of its own and it certainly had enough atmosphere to keep me wanting for more. You had a choice in the end. Okay, not much of a choice, but at least you had one. It could have been longer, but at least it didn’t have a stupid “super boss” ending like most other FPS bore you with. It had three alternate endings to the story, depending on how you chose in the end, and that’s way cooler than an idiotic Über-Fight-Sequence.

You can already buy the PC version for around seven Euros, so Singularity gives you a lot of bang for the buck. If you like the genre, just go and buy it.
